Alliance Management Workshop
Class Size: 15-20 Participants
Length: 1-2 Days
Rationale:
Strategic alliances fail to deliver on their potential mostly because the teams that develop them do not implement them, or assume that everything will work out according to the negotiated agreement. The purpose of this course is to help participants complete the transition from working on an alliance project to making it work. The class is presented as a workshop in which teams work with the Memorandum of Understanding to plan the initial and long term implementation of the strategic alliance.
The course content is presented through instructor-led discussions and small-group exercises.
Attendees:
Representatives all functions and levels who will be involved in the alliance, whether with suppliers or customers, should attend this course.
Timing:
Consider this course whenever your organization is about to undertake the process of developing strategic alliances. When any long-term or strategically important contract is signed, the course will be particularly effective in supporting the transition from "project" to "new way of doing business" in the alliance arena.
Objectives:
After completing this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify goals of long-term supplier relationships.
- Relate goals of long-term supplier relationships and the “PROFILE” of a successful alliance to the content of one or more Memorandums of Understanding.
- Use Paragon’s databases and tools to maintain supplier relationships.
- Apply Paragon’s methodology to ensure the lowest overall total cost of future purchases.
